Levent Yüksel is a very famous Turkish pop music singer. He is also a bass guitar player. He performed many songs of other pop music singers as a back vocal singer. Many of his own songs have a special sense of humor. This song is kind of fun. "Bi' Daha" is the story of a husband who drinks with another lady and then regret what he had done.
In the name of this song, we see an apostrophe. This is because we Turks say "bir" (one) some fast, and it becomes as if we said "bi". Because of this contraction, we put an apostrophe in the writing language. "daha" means "more". So "bir daha" means "one more". "tövbe" is "repentance", or as an exclamation: "Never again!". He says "One more? Never again!" :)
Do you remember Duman? They were very famous with their song Aman Aman some years ago. I remember I put their videoclip on the old website. But we had another song in the new site: Özgürlüğün Ülkesi.

Manga released their new album Şehr-i Hüzün some months ago. I think it is a depressive album as the name of the album says: "The city of sadness". And it has good songs. This song is Dünyanın Sonuna Doğmuşum (I was born for the end of the world). This song protests the situation of the world, the destruction of the cultural values.
This is an old song, or as we call: türkü, by Karacaoğlan. It is performed by Orhan Hakalmaz, who is one of my favorite türkü singers :) This is a love song like many other Karacaoğlan songs. You may remember more of his rhytmic songs performed by the band Badem.
In this song, he talks to his heart. He says: "My heart, don't go to foreign lands, because maybe it is not possible to come back. Don't be swayed by all the beauties, maybe it is not possible to love her". I hope you enjoy this touching song.
